150,000 Expected for H Street Festival on Saturday

The annual H Street Festival will take place all day Saturday, resulting in street closures through an 11-block stretch of H Street from 3 a.m. to 11 p.m.:

  • 400 to 1300 block of H Street Northeast will be closed to east and westbound traffic
  • F Street Northeast between 4th and 14th Street Northeast will be closed to northbound traffic
  • I Street Northeast between 4th and 14th Street Northeast will be closed to southbound traffic

Hours for the actual festival are 12-7 p.m. on H Street between 4th and 14th Streets NE. Festival organizers expect 150,000 to participate.

The closest Metrorail stations are Union Station and NoMa-Gallaudet/New York Avenue. Expanded service will be available on the H Street Shuttle from Chinatown and Eastern Market. Bike valet will be provided by the Washington Area Bicyclist Association. Two Metrobus routes also serve H Street: local X2 and express X9. And of course, people can use the DC Streetcar, which runs along H Street from NoMa to the Anacostia River.

All street closures and listed times are subject to change based upon prevailing or unexpected conditions.
