Count Anne Arundel County among the jurisdictions getting in on the bikeshare trend.
The Capital-Gazette reported that county and city of Annapolis are working to finalize a partnership with a bikeshare vendor, which it declined to name. It’s also still not clear where docking stations would be located.
The partnership could be in place by August.
Anne Arundel County would join Prince George’s County and Montgomery County in offering bikeshare options. The District of Columbia and several jurisdictions also offer bikeshare through Capital Bikeshare and are testing dockless bikeshare.
According to the Capital-Gazette, Annapolis once tried bikeshare in 2007 and 2008, when residents could rent bikes for free from the Harbormaster’s office.
