Arlington Transit (ART) is stopping service on two bus routes with lower ridership next week.
ART buses 54 and 92 will run through the end of the day on June 22 and then cease operating.
Both buses failed to reach ART’s minimum service requirement of 15 riders per hour and were eliminated from Arlington County’s fiscal year 2019 budget.
ART bus 54 connected the Dominion Hills, Madison Manor and Highland/Overlee Knolls neighborhoods with the East Falls Church Metro station. Riders looking for alternatives can hop on Metrobus Route 1A and 1B on Wilson Boulevard and Metrobus Route 2A on Washington Boulevard.
ART bus 92 serves the area around Pentagon Metro station, Crystal City Metro station, and VRE station. Many of the stops on the route are within walking distance to the VRE and Crystal City Metro stations, and there is Capital Bikeshare in the area.
