Travelers coming home from their holiday vacations should be aware of snow in the forecast Friday and Saturday this week.

Current forecasts call for a 30-40% chance of snow Friday night, extending into Saturday. There is unlikely to be much accumulation, and any significant precipitation could stay to the south. However, any snow could create hazardous road conditions, so it may be worth delaying travel until Sunday or even New Year’s Day, if forecasts improve.

It certainly will be cold enough to allow for snow, with temperatures expected to stay below freezing and even drop near 20 degrees at night.
