Charlottesville Marchers Arrive in D.C.

Dozens of people with the March to Confront White Supremacy arrived in Washington, D.C., on Wednesday afternoon after walking more than 100 miles from Charlottesville.

The group, which at one point included actor Mark Ruffalo, gathered on the Virginia side of Francis Scott Key Bridge by 3 p.m. before walking into the city and holding a rally at the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial at 4 p.m.

Motorists should consider alternate routes that avoid Rosslyn and Georgetown, where the group will march before heading southeast toward the MLK Jr. Memorial at the Tidal Basin. Key Bridge is already being subjected to alternating lane and sidewalk closures at various times through October.
