MARC Riders in Germantown will be relieved to learn that construction work at the station is now complete.
Riders have been dealing with limited parking since the end of January when MARC began renovations of the westbound platform at Germantown station.
The renovation work led to a decrease in available parking spots and closures of staircases and ramps. There are typically 657 parking spots at Germantown, but that number was severely reduced during the project. Even prior to the reduction in spaced, Germantown’s lots typically filled up very early in the morning. During the renovation, MARC encouraged riders to travel instead to Metropolitan Grove or take the RideOn Route 83 bus.
