MARC train riders experienced delays Monday morning due to damage to overhead wires at Penn Station in Baltimore.
The 5:50 a.m. departure from Baltimore was canceled and at least one train operated with fewer railcars. MARC saw delays of between five and 20 minutes along the Penn Line throughout Monday morning.
Amtrak maintenance crews were working to repair the overhead wires late Sunday into Monday morning, but it was unclear if they completed the repairs in time for Monday morning service.
It’s been a challenging last week for MARC riders as they also fought delays stemming from a flooded tunnel between West Baltimore and Halethorpe.
