Drivers on I-95 in the Fredericksburg area should be aware of potential delays due to multiple work zones overnight this week.

The Virginia Department of Transportation said there will be double lane closures on both sides of the highway at multiple locations. Many of the closures will take place overnight, but there will be some daytime lane closures as well.

Here are the impacted areas and the time of the lane closures:


-Exit 126 - double lane closure, Monday 10 p.m - 4 a.m.

-Potomac Creek Bridge (mile marker 137) - double lane closure Monday-Friday 10 pm - 4:30 am and Friday-Saturday midnight - 7 am. Also, Tuesday-Wednesday 9:30 am to 3:30 pm.

-Exit 140 - Single lane and shoulder closure, Tuesday-Wednesday 9:30 am to 3:30 pm. Also, double lane closure Tuesday-Wednesday 10 pm to 4:30 am.


-Exit 140 - Double lane closures, Wednesday-Thursday 10 pm- 4:30 am.

-Potomac Creek Bridge (mile marker 137) - Tuesday-Wednesday 7-10 am., alternating single lane closures.

-Exit 130 - Tuesday, 9 pm-10 am, single lane closure.

-Exit 126 - Monday-Thursday 9 pm - 5 am, single lane closure.
