Howard County has added seven new buses to its fleet, in an effort to make service more reliable.
The new buses will be operated by the Regional Transportation Agency of Central Maryland,
The new 2017 El Dorado EZ Rider II buses bring the total of new buses this year to 18. An additional six new buses could join the fleet by next fall, county officials said.
Kittleman said that the new buses, coupled with planned efforts to improve routes, will make bus service more attractive to residents.
“If we have newer buses, we’re going to have more people ride,” Howard County Executive Allan Kittleman said in a video message. “It’s going to be better for our environment, better for our employees, better for our residents, and better for Howard County.”
