The Washington area may have been spared the worst from the recent winter storm, but the concern over hazardous driving conditions remains in place.
With temperatures expected to be well below freezing through the weekend, local officials are warning of potential icy roads.
The Virginia Department of Transportation said even roads that have been cleared of snow could have icy patches, especially during the overnight and early morning hours.
Thankfully, weather forecasts do indicate temperatures will rise above freezing by Monday, lessening any ice concern during next week’s commutes
