If you are willing and able to adjust your commute to an off-peak time, you may be eligible for prizes as part of a new rewards program offered through Commuter Connections.
The Commuter Connections Flextime Rewards program is designed to encourage workers to adjust their arrival and departure times, thus potentially reducing road congestion in certain corridors.
Here’s how it works: If you have a Commuter Connections account and commute along four heavily congested corridors, you can also register for FlexTime Rewards. By registering, you’ll receiving notifications of higher-than-usual traffic along their corridor. If you delay your trip, you’ll be entered into a monthly drawing for cash prizes.
The four eligible corridors are:
- I-495 inner loop between VA-267 and I270 Spur
- I-495 outer loop between I-95 and MD-193
- I-66 eastbound at VA-267
- DC-295 southbound at Benning Rd.
