Part of the northbound 95 Express Lanes from Prince William Parkway through Franconia-Springfield Parkway will be closed to all traffic from Monday (tonight) through Thursday due to work on overhead tolling gantries, VDOT said.
This section of the express lanes will be closed at approximately 1:30-4 a.m. each night. Motorists driving north on the 95 Express Lanes will be directed to the regular I-95 lanes near Prince William Parkway.
Meanwhile, work on the I-395 Express Lanes project will require evening closures on the full stretch of the I-395 HOV lanes, from the southbound HOV exit ramp near Boundary Channel Drive to the northbound exit ramp leading from the 95 Express Lanes near Edsall Road.
The I-395 Express Lane closures take effect at the following times:
- Monday, July 10: 8:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m.
- Tuesday, July 11: 8:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m.
- Wednesday, July 12: 8:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m.
- Thursday, July 13: 8:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m.

For riders of the Metrobus 11Y line, the northbound bus stop on East Abingdon Drive at Slaters Lane (Stop #4000258) will be closed for three weeks due to construction. Passengers may board or exit from a temporary northbound stop 60 feet south of the current location.
On Monday through Friday, the Red Line from Friendship Heights to Medical Center will be single-tracking due to tunnel leak mitigation work.
Next weekend, the Yellow Line will be shut down from L’Enfant Plaza to the Pentagon due to bridge grout pad renewal.
