People’s March Will Hit the National Mall Saturday

If you are traveling into the District Saturday, be aware that the National Mall will be the site of another rally, as a crowd of about 1,500 is expected to gather in support of the impeachment of President Donald Trump.

The People’s March on D.C. will gather at the Lincoln Memorial with a rally at 11 a.m. Saturday. Then at 1:15 p.m., the group will march from the memorial along the National Mall to the National Museum of African American History and Culture.

This rally comes after last weekend’s Women’s March and the March For Life, each of which brought tens of thousands of people to the National Mall.

The rally is organized by People Demand Action, a group that works to advance progressive values and civic engagement. The group has asked groups arriving by bus to park at the RFK Stadium lots, and use either the Foggy Bottom or Arlington Cemetery to get to the rally.

As of Thursday, DC Department of Transportation and Washington Metropolitan Police had not announced any street closures.
