Metro Transit Police have arrested an Oxon Hill man in connection with a string of thefts from vehicles at Metro stations in Prince George’s County.

Police said that Victor Graham, 27, broke into at least 17 cars in August and September at the Branch Avenue, Cheverly, and Largo Town Center stations. Police said they observed him on camera breaking into a car on Tuesday in Cheverly. He was later spotted riding a Metrobus and was apprehended. Detectives questioned Graham, and he admitted to breaking into cars on at least 17 occasions to seek money and items to sell.

Graham has been charged with multiple counts of destruction of property, theft from auto, and fraud.

Metro said there have been 29 thefts from vehicles at Metro stations this year. That number is roughly flat from 2017.
