Metro this week announced that nine more schools have enrolled in a program allowing students to have unlimited Metro rides for $1 per day.
The Metro U-Pass program is designed to allow inexpensive travel for students heading to school or internships in the region.
The U-Pass program has been extended to students attending Washington, D.C. programs at these schools for the Spring 2018 semester:
- Boston University
- Maxwell School of Syracuse University
- Wake Forest University
- University of Colorado-Boulder
- University of Wisconsin-Madison
- Carnegie Mellon University’s Institute for Politics and Strategy
- Calvin College
- Lutheran College
- Hope College
The U-Pass program, which launched in August of 2016, is already being used by students at American University, Washington College of Law, and Carnegie Mellon University/Heinz College. Metro said students have taken more than 2.2 million rides using U-Pass.
