Transurban to Test Rewards Program for Express Lane Users

Drivers on the I-95 and I-495 express lanes in Virginia could earn rewards under a new loyalty program to be launched this spring.

Transurban, which operates the express lanes, is accepting online registrations for the program. Through Feb. 9, it will also give away $100 in travel to anyone who registers. To be eligible for the prize, you must have a driver’s license from Maryland, Virginia, or the District of Columbia and have used the Express Lanes once in the last 12 months. There will be five winners selected.

Registration is easy and involves entering your name, license plate number and E-ZPASS transponder number, and answering a couple of questions regarding your usage of the express lanes.

More details on the loyalty rewards program are expected to come in February.
