If you plan to drive in the city on Saturday, plan ahead to avoid some road closures and runners in their underwear.

The popular Cupid’s Undie run will take place Saturday afternoon around Franklin Square, forcing the temporary closure of five roads and some parking restrictions.

Here are the road closures to be aware of between 3 p.m. and 3:45 p.m. Saturday:

  • 14th St. NW between K and H St. NW
  • 15th St. NW between K and H St. NW
  • The service roadway on 14th Street between 14th and 15th St. NW
  • I St. NW between 13th and 15th St. NW
  • Vermont Ave. NW between H St. and I St. NW

You will also be unable to park in downtown portions of 14th St. NW, 15th St. NW or the 14th St. service road from 10:45 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Cupid’s Undie run usually features thousands of runners in their Valentine’s Day-themed underwear or costumes. Proceeds from the one-mile run and party go to find a cure for neurofibromatosis.
