Beginning next week, the public will be able to offer their thoughts on the 17 transportation projects proposed as part of the I-66 Commuter Choice Projects.

The $32.9 million worth of projects, to be funded by tolls from the I-66 Express Lanes, includes a wide range of proposals including enhanced bus service in Fairfax County and upgrades to Virginia Railway Express.

The public comment period opens March 19, and there will be a public meeting on March 20 in Reston.

The Commuter Choice projects were selected because they addressed the desire to move more people, enhance transportation connectivity, improve transit service, reduce roadway congestion and increase travel options.
