‘Wonder Woman’ Sequel Filming Continues in Georgetown

Spoiler alert! Filming of the sequel to the “Wonder Woman” reboot continues Thursday in Georgetown, with Wisconsin Avenue NW from M Street to P Street occasionally closed to traffic from 6:30am through 8 pm.

Passersby reported filming for the movie - officially titled “Wonder Woman 1984” - around Wisconsin Avenue on Wednesday. In the 2017 hit, actor Chris Pine’s character (lasso-whipping Wonder Woman’s comrade and love interest) was killed off at the end of the movie while flying a cargo plane full of canisters of a souped-up mustard gas.

No word yet on whether Pine’s character actually flew the mustard gas to Georgetown in an effort to deter its undergraduate inhabitants from popping the collars of their Vineyard Vines polo shirts. (Editor’s Note: We don’t think it’ll work.)
