Commuters in Maryland will be able to access a carsharing service at many transit stations, thanks to a new partnership with ZipCar.
The Maryland Transit Administration and Maryland Department of Transportation said has partnered with ZipCar to provide 15 vehicles at eight different spots in Maryland, including five MARC stations.
Maryland transit officials said they hoped the ZipCar offering would make it easier for people who don’t own cars to use public transit.
With ZipCar, riders can reserve a car and pick it up at the following MARC stations:
- West Baltimore.
ZipCar will also be available at the Light Rail stations at Mount Washington and North Avenue, and the Mondawmin subway stop.
